Shaun on the Road
I guess I can pick up where I left off. I spent another couple of days in Nha Trang and finished my scuba class. It was really cool to go diving in open water. There was so much life and beauty down there. It is something else. Time flies when you are down there as well. I thought we were under water for 20 and 25 minutes for our first and second dives. We were actually under for 38 and 50 minutes. It is amazing. The second day was also great. We did our deepest dive at 18 meters. I could not believe how cold it was down there. You spend more than two minutes and your really start to shiver without thick wetsuits.
From Nha Trang I went to a town called Hoi An. There are over 200 tailors in the town and they have good quality stuff for cheap. I was loving it. I couldn't help myself. I left town with 3 custom made suits, shirts, three other pairs of pants and 2 pairs of shoes. All custom made to fit me. I guess this is incentive not to let myself go.
From Hoi An I went to Hue, a city that was just south of the former line between north and south Vietnam. I was rather unimpressed with the place and quickly moved on to Hanoi. I got in this morning after a long and crowded overnight bus journey. I fly out for Bangkok in the morning and then head south to Malaysia. I'll be in Malaysia for about a week or so before heading to Singapore and then Australia.
