Shaun,
Welcome back to Canada! I've had a couple chances this year to read your blurbs about your travels, but just now I read a whole lot more of them and I'm so glad that you had this opportunity to experience it all this year! I especially enjoyed reading about your adventures to the places where I've been and can picture the places and it gives me the itch to get out there again. I really was blown away by Rome and so many other parts of Italy - we also got lost walking around in Florence! Ireland was definitely another favorite for me as the green lushness and the people really won my heart - we also took the bus into Tralee and then bussed it into Dingle - truly a beautiful place! Anyway, I'm glad you're back home Shaun and I'm really hoping that I get to see you before you decide to go back to the clean-cut guy we used to know - I think your new look is great!
Allie
Ummm....maybe I am the only one who reads this anymore! No, I'm sure that's not true. I've talked to many people who do read it, they just don't comment. Anyway, just wanted to clarify some spelling. I feel a particular bond with Australia for obvious reasons, so I want to make sure the places are spelled right. Airlie Beach and Cairns are the correct spellings for those two places. I'm sorry you found Cairns boring. You are right: the city is just hostels and bars. You have to go outside the city to see the great things. Anyway, doesn't matter now. Have fun in Sydney: the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, Manly, Bondi Beach, the Quays (pronounced "keys" for some strange reason), the Rocks, and Mrs. Macquaries Point are some of the obvious great things to see. And don't forget about Hillsong Church, if you have the time on Sunday. It's in Baulkham Hills, corner of Norwest Blvd and Solent Cres. Can't really miss is. I'm sure you can find directions on their website too. Anyway, this is supposed to be a message board, not an email. See you in a week!!!
Allie
Yup, me again. Just letting you know that I forgot you have a new email address, so I sent an email to your canada.com account. Hope you can still access it.
Allie
Ooops...I proof read my last message after I had already posted it, so I must apologize for the spelling mistake near the end. It should read: "you're home soon", not "your home soon". Sorry.
Allison
Yes, your website is part of my daily routine! I am so glad that you went to Fraser - it's just so cool to read about Indian Head (remind me to tell you a super funny story about that place) and how you thought it was just as awesome as we did. Have I ever told you that we had a flat tire on the island? Not very fun. And now sailing the Whitsundays - such an awesome experience. So glad you were able to see the Brown's and Witt's - it means a lot to me that you would take the effort, even though I know it was nice for you also to have a place to go. Wow - your home soon. I guess we'll see you in a couple of weeks!!!
Allison
Shaun....I know for a fact there are literally thousands of internet cafes on the East Coast...time to update!
Hannah
So Shaun...with all these great adventures you've experienced, people you've met, things you have seen and incredable stories you'll have to tell, I hope you have taken advantage of some Kodak moments! A photo can't capture the full moment but it sure helps bring back memories. Now that we(in Canada) have read your web page series(which to me was better than watching survivor) it will be cool to see your pictures and to hear your real live version of the whole trip.
Soon enough I'll be on my way aswell and who knows what journeys lay ahead? There are still a few details that I need to work out before I go to India but I'll keep you posted.(I'm planing to fly out from Calgary at the end of September) Safe Travels To You!! Hannah

As I write this, you are probably on your way to Aussieland. I am tearing up/crying because of this. I'm not jealous exactly, more extremely happy and excited for you, and yet wishing with all my heart and soul that I was with you. Obviously Australia had a huge impact on me and I often wonder if we should have been born Aussie, bro. Anyway, have so much fun for me, okay? And say a HUGE HI and WE MISS YOU to Gael and Colin as well as Glenn and Kathy if you get to see them. We actually just found out that they are coming to the States for the second half of August and we are already trying to come up with a way to go and meet them (but don't tell Kathy - if the plan by some chance does work, it's going to be a surprise for her!) We heard that you might be bunking with Ben for a while and may go deep sea fishing with him like Ryan did. Make sure you get to eat some of what you catch, because fresh ocean fish is awesome. You can also ask the Witt's to take you to the little place they took us our last night in Brisbane - yummy reef shark, calamari and snapper!!
