Communal Breakfast and everyone was eager to leave for the final leg. It was a very short journey and even stopping at every viewpoint we arrived early. Not only had it rained very hard in the night, it was forecast to rain again later in the morning. Like all good weather forecasts, they were wrong, and it stayed dry and got warm. So we completed the trail in total dry sunny weather.
As it happened the shuttle bus was early too so we got back to the start in good time for our trip down to Queenstown. It was very interesting returning by road and seeing all the places we had cycled over the last few days.
Arrived in Queenstown in bright hot sunshine and found our hotel then walked into town in search of of food. Quite a party town is Queenstown, the centre for all things sporty. There was a good atmosphere here a real holiday place.
We didn't have very much time to look round as we were being picked up at 8.30 next day for our overnighter to Milford Sound. We had to shuffle our luggage as they would only let us take one small bag each. The rest we left in the Hotel here in Queenstown.
