Arrived in Madrid around 17:30 after a rather luxurious train ride - first class on an AVE (high speed spanish train, think intercity on Nitro!) - not intentional this travelling expensively lark, they were the only tickets left!! Surprisingly it is hotter here than in Seville - it has been 38c here today and I am culitvating a marvellously pink forehead and nose! Neil, you will be glad to know I have also invested in some Italian style "cover half your face" plastic sunglasses! Probably going to spend a few more days here, we have found a sweet little hostal for a couple of nights - €30 per night which is pretty cheap and near an Irish pub showing the Italy-Germany match which should be fun. Still having trouble uploading pix but I'm sure I'll manage in time - plenty of embarrassing ones Adios mes amigos x
