Ciao! We arrived in Rome around 9pm on Thursday evening after a quick flight from Barcelona. Lovely to be back here, can't believe I was only here in March. Wasn't quite our plan to start this far North as we had hoped to go to Naples and other such areas but this was the nearest flight we could get. Ok so trying to get out of Madrid proved a little difficult: no trains, flights or buses under 200 euros! We rented a car and pretty much winged it, by some fluke we managed to get onto the motorway and drove all the way to Barcelona - took about 6 hrs in all. Arrived in Madrid around 17:30 after a rather luxurious train ride - first class on an AVE (high speed spanish train, think intercity on Nitro!) - not intentional this travelling expensively lark, they were the only tickets left!! Arrived in sunny Seville around 10am on Friday - have been exploring the old town and have been to the bull ring and giralda y cathedral - very warm but haven't found anywhere to sunbathe as yet ! Off to Madrid in the next day or two. Adios! x
