Got to Bangkok at about 8 in the morning me, Felix, Bas and Willem. That Valium had me out like a light and Felix as well. Got dropped off right in the middle of Bangkok so we all took taxi's Felix was on his way to Phuket so we said our goodbyes as he was heading to a different airport to us. Got to our airport, got some lunch and food for the plane our flight was at 2.40pm so just hung around until then. All had to print our letter of approval off mine literally came through at midday which was lucky ready to get our month Vietnam visa's on arrival. Only a 2 hour flight from Bangkok to Hanoi so before we knew it we were there. Took an hour and a half for them to process our letter of approvals they only had 1 guy at the reception so dealing with us all 1 by 1 was frustrating. We were with a English mum with her 10 year old son who were in Vietnam for a month as it is the summer holidays now, not a bad place to spend your summer as a kid fair play to them! Got some Vietnamese dong out it is 35,000 dong to a English pound so weird having an option to take out 2 million! That is around 58 quid back at home. Got a mini bus to our Central Backpackers hostel in Old Quarter, Hanoi the bus driver was making us sick as he had a mole on his face with about 2000 long hairs coming out of it was disgusting! Of course didn't take long for the 'guacamoleeeeee' comments from Austin Powers to fill up the bus with banter! It was proper rank. Got to our hostel just in time for happy hour 7-8 is drink as much beer as you want! Laura was at the hostel too so it was really good to be back with her! Happy days, after that we went out for some food on the street, good food but the conditions were really poor very dirty everywhere. Walked around Hanoi which is a crazy city on the roads but so nice instantly loved the place. Had a few drinks and then tried to find the 'Lighthouse' bar which was a underground rave - but it was shut ha! Back to the hostel then!
