Well it was a tough call leaving Cowley Beach but there was still much to see, besides if we had of won lotto Mal would still be there in the house for sale with the ocean view lol. So Paronella Park in Mena Creek was our next stop, great because when you buy your entry ticket you get 1 night free accommodation in the caravan park which is in the park and the Mena Creek Pub is across the suspension bridge which is just outside the park.
After settling in we set off for 12.30 guided tour giving us the history of the park and the incredible story and dream of José Paronella a Spanish immigrant who left his betrothed in Spain to find his fortune, I wont tell you his story as if you have been you will know it for those who haven't you need to find out for yourselves, we also did the night tour which is a must as the lights are stunning and gives a very different perspective of the park.
We enjoyed a great lunch at the pub also a must do.
The next day will see us heading for the tablelands our first stopover being Malanda.
