Today we got back onto the tram and went to the Etihad Stadium. We had a look around then went to Southbank and had a walk along the river. Then we went to the Treasury and Fitzroy Gardens and visited Captain Cooks Cottage. We have learnt a lot about Capt Cook on various trips we have been on so wanted to see where he lived.
As it was our last night in Oz so I treated Scott and I to a Nandos. We had one in Sydney and it was beautiful so fancied another one.
We have loved every minute of the last 5 weeks that we have spent in Australia. We have learnt a lot about the history and culture of this amazing country! All of the trips we have been on were fantastic but I think our favourite was the one to Fraser Island. A must do we think if you come to Australia. Of course we also really enjoyed the Barrier reef, Cape Tribulation rainforest, Australia zoo and the Sydney bridge climb. It has been great to also chill out on the beaches along the East Coast. Our favourite place we have stayed at is Airlie Beach, such a relaxed and pretty town in Queensland.
The only downside is that Oz is expensive. For the first few weeks we ate out a lot then soon realised how much it was costing and then started to cook our own food which has been good for us to learn how to cook.
Tomorrow night we have a flight to New Zealand. We are flying into the Christhurch so that we can explore the South Island. We have our jumpers at the ready as we hear it's slightly colder than what we have been used to it. Nothing but shorts and vests for the past 5 weeks. We have a few trips planned for our stay in NZ so stay tuned..
