It's our third day in Cairns now, weather is really hot but we've had lots of frequent rain showers. Yesterday we got up pretty early and went down to reception. The girl at the hostel recommended a few trips for us to do. The rainforest today and the great barrier reef on Monday. We have just got back from the rainforest trip and it was brilliant! First we went to Port Douglas and took some pictures at the four mile beach. Then we drove through some aboriginal communities on the way to the rainforest. We then stopped at Mossman Gorge which was beautiful, took a trek through the rainforest (watching out for the pythons), stopped at a cafe for lunch where we saw the biggest spiders we had ever seen- about 10cm length, we then went on a river cruise through crocodile infested waters.
Snorkelling at the great barrier reef tomorrow. Can't wait!
