Checking in from our favourite eatery on this trip- McDonalds! We left Byron Bay yesterday at 9pm. Really liked it there, laid back and it had a lovely beach. We had a 13 hour coach ride to Sydney (longer than any flight we have had) but it wasn't too bad as we slept for most of the time. When we got to Sydney at 10am we dropped our backpacks off at the hotel and looked round Chinatown, which our hotel is right in the middle of. We went to a huge undercover market, mostly souvenirs but cheaper than anywhere else we have been. Our hotel here is really nice and based on the main street. As we are only here for 3 days we thought we would push the boat out! This afternoon we had our Bridge Climb. It took about an hour preparing for it as you had to put on all the equipment. We then got onto the lower arches of the bridge, it was really high from here with just mesh beneath you. We then climbed up 4 flights of steep stairs to reach the top arch, I was petrified but Scott stayed pretty chilled! Our climb took us along the top, to the middle, across and back down the other side. It was an amazing feeling and the views of the harbour, skyline and the opera house were awesome. The weather was good too as it wasnt blistering hot and it wasnt raining. Tomorrow we are going to do the hop on hop off bus to see a bit more of the city, this time with our feet firmly on the ground!
