In Ashburton now, about an hour away from Christchurch set in the Canterbury plains. its a small town with not a lot to do but were not too bothered as we are just here to work for a couple of weeks. We found ourselves work as brocolli harvesters haha. Working in a factory spraying crates of brocolli with ice with huge hose pipes! We did a six days working week starting around 7am and also found oursleves packing squash, planting brocolli, and harvesting it on a farm. Yes we were sat on the back of a massive harvester in a field all day long. Proper farm girls now! Matt left after a week as he was sick of it (dont blame him!) and we stayed on another week but eventually got sick of being freezing cold (and it was making us ill!).

So thats the end of our working career in NZ and we are looking forward to getting back to civilisation and spending our last week in Christchurch and meetin up with old friends. We want to go out and dance and shop!

We have booked ourselves into the Sanctuary at the base backpackers- a girls only dorm where you get free fluffy towels and hair products- and champagne! No more camp sites and outdoor bathrooms!- come on we've been working hard we need pampering!!
