In Ashburton now, about an hour away from Christchurch set in the Canterbury plains. its a small town with not a lot to do but were not too bothered as we are just here to work for a couple of weeks. We planned to go to Milford SOund today with Matt and booked our boat trip for the afternoon, but had a few car troubles and we missed the boat! Set off for Queentown stopping off at Makarora for the night where we had a Kareoke competition! We set off for Franz Josef and saw some beautiful scenery on the way. We called at a few towns like Greymouth and Hokitika. Next day we planned to do the glacier walk and got a special deal with stray and got a 3 quarter day trip. We are heading down the West Coast at the moment, stopping at places like Punakaiki to see the famous blowholes and Pancake rocks, with our destination being Barrytown- if you can call it a town, its literally a pub!
