We left the beach today at 8am and got our mini-bus back to Phnom Penh. This was a 5 hour journey and incredibly hot and cramped - we will be glad after today as this is the last journey in the mini-bus! The Cambodians have an incredibly annoying way of driving - they beep at everything. If they want to overtake they beep. If they see someone edging out of a side-road they beep. They beep at people, cows, dogs and if they are bored it seems! When we got to Phnom Penh we checked into the same nice hotel we stayed in last time - better not get too used to these nice hotels as we will be on our own again soon when this tour ends! We spent the afternoon exploring the city - we went to the National Museum and had a look at the Royal Palace (see picture) then we went on the internet to update the journal which we have been neglecting a bit lately! Sorry! On that note we do apologise to everyone who has left us all those great messages for not writing individual e-mails it's very bad of us and we will reply it just takes so long to type this out! Also dad and Joy sorry I haven't rung for a while I have no SIM card here and mum has been paying for my phone to ring her. As soon as we are back in Thailand I will give you a call!!
