Today was a pretty relaxed day so not much to report and the last day of work. We hiked to the top of the mountain even though we were told yesterday we would be picking up plants from in town. We painted a barn for the majority of the morning and searched for one of the baby turtles that Jose saw at the top of the mountain yesterday. It was a hot day but the work wasn't as hard today so that was a relief. It was several of the volunteers last days so we all went to town around 4:00 pm and spent time watching Ecuador play football. They won!! So it was really cool seeing how people reacted in town to their win. After that, we went out to dinner at Calypso and I had a chicken sandwich with fries and had to try this Volcano cake everyone has been talking about, which was amazing. It's chocolate cake with warm liquid chocolate in the center and served with ice cream. We had a fun dinner reminiscing about the things we did that week. I went to playa Mann, a nearby beach, and the stars are extremely bright and clear here. An amazing day, again. I'm really going to miss the people I've met and we've all gotten along well with each other. Tomorrow I catch my ferry to Santa Cruz and looking forward to exploring another island. :)
