Today I skipped work to go to Kicker Rock located about 45 minutes by boat from Puerto Moreno. Megan and I went into town around 7:30 am and met up with our tour. There were about 15-20 other passengers from all over the world some snorkeling and others diving. We decided not to bring wetsuits with us but wished we would have because it was super cold since the sun was mildly blocked by the rock. All of my equipment malfunctioned so the guide gave me his pro goggles and I could see extremely clearly. The first minute we saw a hammerhead shark deep below us. We snorkeled in between the rock and then all around it for about an hour. We saw black tipped sharks, sea lions, starfish, puffer fish and much more. I can't lie, I almost freaked out several times buttttt the sharks don't bite here (apparently). Some of the divers saw manatees too but unfortunately we didn't. What an amazing experience though and I'm so glad I went. We then hung out at a passing beach on the way back to the mainland and the water was so clear and warm. We made friends with people on the boat and they asked us to hang out later that night as well. All in all, a really amazing day today and I love being here. I've met so many amazing people and I can't believe it is coming to and end in less than a week!!!
