Sawasdee! (hello in Thai!) We are currently back in Thailand for the last time before we leave South East Asia, cant believe we have been here for 2 and half months now! We left Bangkok and made our way down to Krabi to catch a boat to Phi Phi Island. We have been here for the last few days now and have only really 'done' something of interest today! We went diving today as the diving here is meant to be the best in Thailand, however apparantly we chose the worst time to go as its a full moon at the moment and that effects the visability due to the changing tides. We saw alot of really nice fish (lots of Nemo's!) and coral but nothing to write home about im afraid! Leapord Sharks are native to these waters and our dive instructor said he has seen one veryday for the last three months but guess what?! No sign of them today! We also went to visit 'The Beach' were the actual "Beach' film was made. We had to snorkell over to this little cave and climb through, the hole we had to climb through was tiny and the sea was really rough today so we got slammed up against the caves walls (ouch!). 'The Beach' was pitoresque but one thing spoiled it, tourists! They were everywhere and it was packed so we didnt stay for very long! We have been chillimg out on the beach for the last few days as there isnt really that much to do as the weather has been bad. This island was hit really bad by the Tsunami and the effects of it still remain, there are areas of large open wasteland that still need to be re-built and many palm trees have been wiped away so there is alot of barren land. We nursed two very bad hangovers yesterday after watching the football the night before, come on England! The football was pretty uneventful(!!) but we managed to get rather drunk and hit the old Thai Whiskey which i promised myslef i would never touch again!!! We are going to rent out some kayaks tomorrow which should be amusing?!!! We are then leaving for Singapore on Wednesday, another 25 hour coach journey lays ahead of me, aagghh!
