Greetings everyone from Pai! We arrived in Pai yesterday after a three hour bus trip from Chaing Mai. I have never been ona journey like it, we literally travelled right up into the mountains up these winding roads like something out of a film! We went so high up and my ears popped from the pressure! We finally arrived in Pai and it is so beautiful. Its a very small village situated right in the valley of the mountains. I have never seen views like it in my life, they literally take your breath away! Its a really laid back little town with loads of nice restaurants and bars which is good! Ill probably be the size of a house whn i return as there are so many new foods to try that i just cant say no! The people are really friendly and will do anything to try and make you feel at home. We went to a Mexican last night and had chicken fajhitas which were very spicy but very yummy! We asked for a bottle of wine and they didnt have any so the waiter got on his scooter and went to buy us a bottle! I cant imagine anyone doing that in England! We meet two French guys on the minibus who are really nice. Jen and i attempted to hire a scooter yesterday as everybody rides them out here and they only cost about 2 pound a day to hire! Well we must have looked like complete fools as neither of us had ridden one before so they suggested we took it on a test run! I went first and it was sooo scary as the roads round here are completely mad, their are no rules and people just do what they want! When i came back i was sweating with fear! Then it was Jenny's turn, well she was as bad as me on it so we decided that we didnt want to spend the rest of our trip in hospital and gave the bike back! The French guys hired a couple of bikes and said we could go on the back of theirs to visit the waterfalls. It was so funny riding around the mountains on a little scooter! The waterfalls were lovely though and i got some nice pics! We went out last night and had a few Gin and Tonics so feel a little worse for wear today! We are going to visit the hot springs in the mountains tomorrow which should be nice and relaxing! Any way i better go now and get my third meal of the day so far, he he!
