Greetings everbody from Bangkok! Well after a nightmare start to my journey i finally arrived in Bangkok! It took me 2 hours to check in and then when i finally arrived at the desk, i was told that the flight had been over booked and there wasnt a seat for me on the plane! I was a little p#@$ed off to say the least! Any way they 'managed' to squeeze me on and here i am in Bangkok! The weather is absolutely boiling! Its about 33 degrees so thank god we have a room with air con! We went to the Grand Palace today which is out of this world, i would try and describe it but i dont think i can do it justice so you will have to wait until i download the photos im afraid! We also went on a River crusie which was an eye opener! The locals literally live in wooden huts on stilts which look like they are about to collapse as all the stilts are rotten, not my kind of pad! People were also fishing in the river with wicker baskets and water up to their neck, bearing in mind the water is filthy, so again not a pastime for me! There was also a big croc on the river banks, nice pet! We are going to Kao Tao tomorrow to do a diving course for four days so i cant wait, hope i dont meet any Great Whites though, would prefer a 'Finding Nemo' style trip instead!! Any way best go now as i fancy a Tiger beer' or two! Will keep you posted, Sara xxx
