Waking up to gleaming snow covered mountains was one of my best moments in the mornings as I usually wake up to boring black curtains on a wall! I took some photos simply just because it was beautiful to look at, especially by the lake which reflected the mountains. Funnily enough, once I woke up, it was freezing, when I say freezing I mean really freezing so when I stepped outside of the motorhome with the snow covered mountains staring back at me', I realised why I had been feeling cold all night! It was quite dark when we pulled up so we couldn't see the snow covered mountains until the following morning. All ready to go, wearing two hoodies, the motorhome suddenly decides to break down in the coldest place we stayed in! Luckily there was a campervan parked behind us so we asked for their help, it was interesting to learn that they were a family from France travelling for a month in NZ. We found out what was the cause, the battery was dead so we asked for them to phone the britz emergency phone line but they insisted on buying us a jump-start lead from nearby petrol shop. They rescued us by being able to start the engine so we thanked them and offered money for the jump-start lead yet we were knocked back, so I gave the French family a big block of crunchie chocolate from the cadbury factory. We proceeded on to Queenstown visiting the repair centre to try to sort out the problem with the leaking water waste pipe so we got offered a temporary car to ferry us around for a couple of hours while they tried to repair our motorhome. After eating at the burger king, we arrived in the adventure capital of Queenstown!
