I got changed in the public toilets nearby and it was cold, i got changed so fast i actually think it was a record time for me..... i had two pairs of socks on me. Once i came back inside the motorhome, Dominic was messing about with the table and i asked him why the heck is he bending down underneath the table continuely!? He answered back saying that he wanted to repair the table after accidently breaking it a little bit by slamming against the table causing the stands to dislocate! Randomly we looked out of the window and there it was....an garage shop! he went to the garage shop to get some sort of a tool to mend it, the people from the garage was nice as they lend the tool to him after he explained what happened. Once the table was repaired, if not a bit wobbly nonethless we prodded on reach our next destination, Picton! It was a gorgeous seaside small town which reminded me of Salcombe in Devon, however it was slightly bigger. We browsed around the shops after parking our motorhome for a mere 40 cents for a hour! I remember thinking what a really good bargain, shame that England dont have that haha! I went in a couple of shops, one was a souvenirs shop where i bought a lovely New Zealand pin and a fridge magnet. Another shop was a liquer store to buy a couple of finest wines only produced from New Zealand specifically for dad as requested :D Time went so fast that we had to hurry to get to the ferry port to catch a ferry to Wellington, The ferry was a normal ritual for everyone else who wanted to get across from the south island to north island. After an half hour of waiting, the ferry began to move. I was a bit surprised to see that there was some good stuff inside the ferry such as sweet shop, information centre and a cinema but predictably no subtitles! Usual story for people who are deaf lol. We sat down opposite maori family, i could tell they were maori because of their strong features on their faces, we thought five of them were men but we were proved wrong after they took off their black coats revealing womanly shapes! In fact it was four women and one man....oops! (Sorry about that, the maori family out there!) In the end of three hour ferry journey we arrived port in Wellington, the next step for us to do was to source a place to camp in overnight. By sheer luck i decided to have a look in the brochure from information centre...there was a car park specifically adapted for the motorhomes to park and camp overnight! Even better it was right in the location of central Wellington! We decided to go there and it was the best decision we have made as it was interesting, unique and unusual with these modern showers blocks and you had to have the pin number to access it. The manager was considerate, he guided us to our site and we enquired him about the unusual setting he has for an campsite as a car park.....he said he had this idea when he was trying to source a central location to park overnight so it hit him that he could purchase a car park and convert that in somewhat similar to a campsite where the motorhomes could stay. That car park campsite had made my day and let say it was memorable! After all that excitement, we opted to go for a walk alongside the harbour which was an bonus as it was right next to then car park campsite! We reached the end of the harbour, an extra bonus for me was the Hogs Breath Cafe right there on front of us....we obviously went there and ate the most succulent softest steak you could ever taste with these piggy tailed shaped fries! I can guarantee you that best steak anyone can ever come across can only be from the Hogs Breath Cafe....
