(T) Landing in the UK we had the opportunity to have a race through immigration. With the UK passport I moved swiftly through and had our bags ready and waiting when Sarah finally made her way down. (S) Once I got to the desk the man quizzed me about who I was travelling with and told me that I should have gone through with him, a little piece of info that would have been a little more useful to me a bout 1/2 an hr before hand, ha ha.
After hiring a car it was time to hit the road and make our way to see Marg and Doug in Wroughton. Marg is my godmother and so I had been really looking forward to seeing her again as we've only had the chance to see each other a few times since I left England in 1978 ( I was 2 ! ). There was plenty to catch up on, in particular introducing them to Sarah and sharing the news of our engagement.
On the way we stopped in Avebry to see the standing stones. These are like stonehenge and are from the same time, the difference is they sort of weave around in a curve and not a circle, you can also get up close to these ones and touch them.
It had been 37hrs since we checked out of the hotel on Singapore and so the chance for a warm shower was much appreciated.
