I left Waikerie in disgust after the farm didn't pay us for our two weeks work and arrived in Glenelg late evening, which is a suburb of Adelaide.
Glenelg is the beach area of Adelaide and the hostel I am staying in is an old 19th century house. It sort of reminded me of Kensington in London from the outside and both Anna and I were amazed at the big open fireplaces and massive mirrors in the dorm rooms. We did arrive kind of late and realised pretty quickly it was going to be hot staying here lol.
The first day we were here we went for a walk around Glenelg which took very little time at all lol. But we got to see the marina and took a walk down by the beach but to be honest I was pretty tired anyway. In no mood for messing about and taking random pictures after I discovered a parking ticket on my car...for...wait for it...parking my car facing traffic. What a joke! $60 fine though, so much for not spending money.
The following day we took a walk into town to take a look around the free stuff at the Fringe festival. We saw quite a few good acts on Rundle Street Mall. Couple of Canadian gymnastic acts and some very weird Chinese fighting sketch lol. I got to see the bronzed pigs on the mall and go inside Haighs the chocolate shop but since it was a Sunday we couldn't take the free chocolate tour which was annoying lol. We also went into the best tea shop ever! I spent today more open minded to funny stuff and took some very random photos of things which I saw in town. Anna leaves tonight to go to Melbourne on an over night bus and I have one more night here before moving on.
Tomorrow I head off to another farm near to Mount Barker fingers crossed this one is going to be ok! Must come back to Adelaide though, I feel as though I haven't even scratched the surface of things I could walk around and look at lol.
The picture is of me messing about at Gluttony at the Fringe festival.
