Today a few of us decided that we would escape from the farm for the day and go on a day trip to Victor Harbour. Well...I say day trip it was more of an afternoon thing by the time we were all ready to leave the house and managed to jump start the car!

It was good though, we arrived in Victor Harbour early afternoon and went walking across the jetty to Granite Island. This Island is supposed to have small penguins on it just like Penguin Island near Rockingham but I think we might have been there at the wrong time of year to see them. Giacomo, Ursula, Bea and I went walking round the island messing about on the rocks taking random pictures. We never saw any penguins (which can be debated since some of us thought a bird was a penguin and others not lol) but we did get up close to a pod of dolphins and see a Sea Lion swimming in the surf! As my usual self I decided to ignore any warning signs about slippery rocks and the dangers of big waves coming over and washing me into the sea and climbed over the barriers and went walking along the rocks. My only regret really is that I should have worn some shorts or trousers or something instead of rocking up wearing a skirt which was useless for climbing!

Afterwards we went walking through the town to 'see it' and stopped for a coffee at a Bavarian coffee shop which was beginning to close as we arrived. Since it's Good Friday everything should be closed here anyway. We headed back after hoping the car would start again and chilled out ready for another day at the farm! Well...after we stopped laughing at Giacomo hoovering up cobwebs to the Ghostbusters theme tune lol.
