After Milford Sound and Te Anau we made a pleasant drive to Queenstown. We hadn't booked a place to stay yet as Aiden wanted to upgrade (again!!) and not stay in the camper....shady shady shady.... Our journey to Te Anau was fairly long and we went through wind, rain, snow and eventually sunshine!! The first half of the trip was terrible weather so we didn't get much chance to stop off until we was nearer the west coast. When we arrived in Te Anau Aiden upgraded us to some gorgeous accomodation called Lakefront Lodges. From Omarama we travelled to Lake Wanaka, it was another gorgeous day, blue skies, mountain backdrops and just another beautiful drive. We was up fairly early today, check out is normally 10am but we were always late by the time we had showered etc. We had decided to break our journey up and stay overnight in Omarama, a small place on route to Lake Wanaka. There isn't a lot there which we knew, so we left Lake Tekapo and drove to Mount Cook for the day. The journey was gorgeous, through the Canterbury Plains, the views were amazing, especially as we got closer and closer to the Aoraki/Mt Cook. ...
