Hi, Having a lovely time in gorgeous Sydney. The sun has really come out for us in the last few days and it has been lovely and warm. We all really love Sydney as it's really lively and there is loads to do. The weather was gorgeous yesterday so we had a nice wander round. We went to Darling harbour first which was really nice with loads of restaurants and things to do. Then we took a ferry over to Manly which is a suburb of Sydney at the other end of the harbour. The ferry trip was really good because we got gorgeous views of the City, The Opera House and the harbour bridge on the way across. We just stopped at Manly for a quick bite to eat which we had on the beach - its a hard life! In the afternoon we climbed the Sydney harbour bridge. It's really high and we thought it would be really scary but it wasn't and the views were stunning! We were all decked out in a sexy grey jumpsuit that is designed not to distract the drivers below. We also had every other type of paraphenalia we needed attached to us so it didn't fall and cause damage - we had a cap on a string, hanky on elastic and Nik even had a hairband on a bit of string! We got the perfect time for our climb as when we started it was still brilliant sunshine with not a cloud in the sky. Then as we walked up the sun started to go down and then we had lovely views at twilight, then we saw sunset and the city all lite up at night. I would definitely recommend anyone to do it, it was really good. The oldest person ever to do it was 100 so it is definitely up to most people's capabilities!! Today is Nik's last day (sob sob!), so we have had a nice day just wandering round the shops and the markets. We are planning to go out for a last night meal tonight as Nik cant face getting on a 23 hr flight with a hangover! We had a good night out last night though, we went to the Kings Cross area of Sydney and found some nice bars. One of the bars we went to sold shots from a teapot - was very bizarre but we just couldn't resist getting one!
