We packed up the rucksacks & cleaned out the RV it had been a whirlwind three weeks & thinking back to the first day attempting to drive the beast I didn’t think I would have enjoyed it as much as I did! We did 1250 miles altogether & saw some amazing sights & most of all we survived on the freeways! Americans definitely have different rules over here ha! We dropped the RV off on the outskirts of LA thankfully as I didn’t fancy the city driving! We got a free shuttle to the airport where we got an UBER to the hotel near Venice beach! We booked a nice one with a suite to spoil us after the RV experience, it was really quirky with a cute pool, hot tub & a smart communal area with a fire pit, bar & table tennis. The weather had turned & seemed much colder which isn’t what we expected in LA. We walked down to Venice beach & was pretty disappointed, it was run down with a rough feel & full of tacky shops, it didn’t help it wasn’t sunny though. We had a drink in a nice bar then went for a Thai meal on the way back to the hotel, the food was amazing! It felt strange going back to a huge hotel room & some luxury.
