So Chels and I made our way to catch the ferry yesterday morning. Along with Rachel and Tommy who were part of the group we spent yesterday with and were also at Reagge Mansion in KL.
Ferry was nice and simple and within 3 hours we arrived in Langkawi, which is a ting island at the top of Malaysia. We are so close to Thailand now.
Stopped off at Starbucks (feel like I'm constantly writing that) and had my first red cup of the season. Was weird in a way because of the weather it just does not feel anywhere near to being Christmas.
Got dropped of in a place called • Pantai Cenang and after some walking round settled on a place called AB Motel. It's grim!!!!!! But it's right on the beach and worth it to wake up in the morning with ocean views.
Feet and hands get such a battering traveling so us ladies went for some needed spa treatments and after found a lovely restaurant right on the beach called Yellow Cafe. It was beautiful with candles and beanbags. The staff were so friendly and the food was delicious, defiantly recommend it. All feeling pretty run down so we went back to catch some z's!
Woke up today feeling refreshed, so much so I went for a morning run on the beach which was lush. Then we spent the day on the beach. I had my first but certainly not last go at wake boarding. It was so much fun, I fell in a lot, but had a fair bit of time standing too. Rach and Tommy got bikes and met up with some others from Georgetown who have now joined us here, while me and Chels sat on the beach all afternoon and watched a very beautiful sunset.
We all went out for a very nice dinner and to the beach for some drinks. Very chilled atmosphere, no chairs just little tables and mats to sit on. Did our first night swim but after that I was ready to get to bed.
Sarah arrives tomorrow and we start our island exploring!
