So first impressions of Kuala Lumpur are very good. Much more built up than I imagined it to be. The hostel is amazing, so amazing we have decided to stay here for 2 more nights. Has a rooftop bar with views of the city, pretty cool.
Had a chilled first 2 days, walked round the town and did the standard photos with the Petronas Twin Towers which is a very impressive building. We also had afternoon tea at a place called Atmosphere 360, which is a revolving restaurant 218 meteres high in the Menara tower. It's was amazing, a little foggy but still great views, absolutely loved it. Also fitted in shopping in some impressive malls, one even had a rollacosta in it.
Today though we went on a tour from the hostel called 7 wonders of KL. Our driver was hilarious, and gave us so much information on KL. Went to the National Palace and learnt all about their royal family (they have 9!) and also to the
Batu Cave, which is a 400 million old cave with a temple inside. We had to climb 272 steps to get to it and apart from the cave itself, it was pretty grim. Lots of rubbish everywhere and smelt pretty bad, wouldn't recommend it. Also went to some other places and then got dropped back off at the hostel.
We have made very good use of their cinema room here and watched yet another film today, but a scary one as it is Halloween. Now we are just getting ready for a Halloween party up on the rooftop bar.
Should be a good night!
