So yesterday was pretty horrendous, we have made a note to ourselves not to drink the night before a travel day again. What an error.

Felt ready to move by 3pm and headed to the bus station where we caught the hourly bus to Penang. Much better way to travel than the train. The seats were so comfortable and spacious. Just under 5 hours later and we arrived. Stopped over in a place called Butterworth for the night. We hadn't eaten all day and it was now 9pm so we went looking for food, with no luck. There was a massive rain storm as well, I've never seen rain like it. The receptionist at the hotel said she couldn't get a taxi for us but her friend would come and pick us up. Writing that now sounds so dodgy but we got into this guys car and he drove us down the road to this Chinese food court. Loads of little Chinese stalls, and people watching the English football (theres just no escaping it). After some food the guy took us back to the hotel and wouldn't even accept any money for the journey, there are some very nice people in this world. Sarah however did kindly break off his car door handle hahaha.

This morning we walked to the ferry terminal to catch the ferry over to Georgetown. We are getting so good at all this public transport shiz with the locals. 22p later we arrived, bloody bargain.

Went to a mall to find wifi and stumbled across yet another Starbucks, naturally we went in. Searched for a place to stay and after being dropped off in one of the main streets we decided on Reggae Mansion Penang. Not as good as the one in KL but it will do. Got the pods again which is good.

Went for amazing sushi for dinner and then for a few in a bar before going back to the hostel. I found out I can watch the new series of Made in Chelsea on YouTube, so that's my bedtime watching sorted.
