After taking the ferry from Sweden to Rostock Germany, Liz picked me up and we drove to the tiny village of Cronskamp! Her parents own an old farm house, built in 1928, and it has a lot of character! You can see where the stables used to be, and they have an old wood oven! Very cool! We went for a little walk around the neighbourhood...it is very pretty with wheat fields, apple trees, and a few farm animals about! Liz has 11 chickens, 2 baby lambs, and a slightly crazy dog and a cat! They also have a great vegie and herb garden, and we made a yummy pasta sauce for dinner using home grown tomatoes and herbs!
Today the weather was still gross, cold, rainy, and windy. Nevertheless we decided to head to another town nearby to check out an old church built in the early 1900s?? It was nice and warm inside! From there we drove to a famous ice cream place, and even though it was still freezing out we went in and had yummy hot chocolate and some ice cream with chocolate sauce!!
From here we drove to the Border´Crossing Museum. Where we are is right on the old border for West and East Germany, so the Museum had some artifacts and information about the borders, and when they got torn down. Very interesting!!
Baby Cecilia is very cute, and has been pretty well behaved so far! We had a mini photo shoot session earlier today and got some cute shots of her!
Were hoping the weather clears up for tomorrow, so we can go to the beach!!
