Today Liz's friends from Switzerland were visiting, so we drove to the old town of Luebeck, known as the home of Marzipan!
Our first stop was the Holsten Gate, which was built in 1464 , but because of the moment of the ground it is now on a bit of a lean!! Next we walked through the old cobblestone streets to St Pisca tower, where we took an elevator up to the top for some great views over the whole city!
From there the mum and pregnant lady were feeling in need of a rest, so we sat at Niederrgger Cafe and I had a Marzipan Cappuccino! It was suprisingly quite good!
We then walked to St Marys church, where we took photos with the lucky devil statue outside! Apparently it's good luck! The church was built in 1260 but has been restored several times since then. It was very grand inside!
Next stop was lunch , and then back to Liz's house for some wine and cards outside by candlelight!
