In Hamburg we parked up at the harbor and booked in on a boat cruise! Unfortunately we were too late for the English one, but the others happily volunteered to be my translators! We had a quick and delicious ice cream while waiting for the boat, and then set off on out cruise- with Baby C looking very cute in her little sailors outfit!
We went up the canal and saw all the old storage buildings and then we went across the harbor and looked at a bunch of container ships!!! Our captain an tour guide was a very old bitter ex sea captain and apparently he was making everyone feel bad about his poor life! Liz wanted to give him a hig afterwards!
After the cruise I ate a yummy fischbrochen ( probably spelt wrong, sorry!) which is a fish burger, and then we had to say goodbye to our Swiss friends Nathalie and Yves. Liz and I took baby C for a walk and found St. Michaels church. I walked all the way up to the top for some fantastic views over Hamburg, and also went down to the Crypt which was not worth the two extra euros at all!!
