We were very busy during our last week in Australia. On Boxing Day we watched the start of the Sydney to Hobart boat race, there were so many boats out in the harbour it looked amazing!! Had an amazing Christmas Day. Woke up early to find that Santa had visited us all the way down under. We spent Christmas morning climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge and saw beautiful views of all around the city and even into the mountains. We had to wear very attractive climbing suits, headphones and a huge harness to attach us to the bridge for our 3 and a half hour experience. We've arrived at our final destination in Australia - Sydney!! We'll be spending Christmas and New Year here and we are so excited. So far we've spent hours exploring the city and taken so many photos of the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Visited the surfing town of Byron Bay, didn't try to surf just watched the pros. We walked around the town and to all the lookout points. Walked upto the lighthouse and even made it to Australia's most easterly point. We camped whilst we were there, it felt like we were sleeping on concrete - we could feel our bones scraping the floor all night - all the experiences we get being a backpacker!
