At 8.30pm we boarded the train for a 20 hour trip through the Rocky Mountains. Booked well in advance it was going to be a highlight of our holiday. It was. We had a small cabin which converted from two chairs to two bunks for the night. The evening started with drinks and canapés in a glass top viewing area. We retired to bed early for the full day of views today.

For our third and last day in Vancouver we walked to many of the city places we had not been to before. We found a big bird. This is situated in the Olympic Village which is a regeneration area.

On this coastline both in the US and Canada we have seen some big trees.

Coming to Canada you would expect to see these. We think these are the best totem poles we have ever seen.
