The highway is fenced to stop animals coming onto the road. To allow animals to migrate in this National Park these substantial bridges have been built for the animals.

Here is a frozen waterfall known as the Weeping Wall. There were some ice climbers on it.

This is not about Newcastle being 55 N latitude it is the fact that there has now been 55 degrees between the hottest and coldest temperature we have been whilst away. It was 36 one day in Perth and this morning it was minus 19 in Jasper. Fortunately it has been sunny today so it has been above zero. I have never had a bison burger before. I can recommend it. Sarah had local salmon. Tomorrow we go to Banff.

We had an excellent view from the window whilst having our meal this evening. There are snow capped mountains in every direction from Jasper. The temperature now is down to minus 5. A bit different from the 36 in Perth.
