This is rather old but seems to be the ony possible way of gettiing in touch via the internet (other thann writing a letter). Frank has been trying to get in touch with our old geology colleagues from Newcastle who graduated in 1974. So far he's manged Bill Tinsley and he's also managed Nowell Donovan. You have my email address so drop me a line.

Feel so saddened by this passionless trip, a missed chance for a journey of discovery into cultures and people and most importantly oneself.

All good things come to an end. It has been fantastic watching your progress but looking forward to seeing you soon
Anne And Rob Dearman.
We've been following the intrepid explorers adventures with envy. and thinking of our similar trip 20 years ago.
The weather here is bitterly cold, so your time in Canada should help with your acclimatization when you get back to the UK.
Don't forget to send me your Newcastle A'pt ETA. See you then, Anne and Rob.

Dave and Sarah, Just catching up with your progress through California and BC - both recent trips that me and Lindsay have made with many familiar sights (cable cars, golden gate, Lombard Drive, Mt Robson, Jasper, Banff etc.) We've just got back from a whole week(!) in Barbados. You're obviously having a wonderful time, enjoy the remainder of your trip. Mike and Lindsay.

NZ looks fantastic. Pleased that you had good weather & saw Mitre Peak on the trip to Milford. We had rain & low cloud on our trip. We are now back from the Antarctic. No mishaps. Saw 7 types of penguins, seals, whales, albatross & icebergs galore & old whaling stations on S Georgia. The ship had 107 passengers from 14 nations & crew of 43 from 13 nations.

OK I found the answer relative to the formation of the Moeraki boulders:
They are concretions formed by the cementation of the Paleocene mudstone, from which they have been exhumed by coastal erosion. Their spherical shape indicates that the source of calcium was mass diffusion, which precludes a fluid flow process.

Hi, the big boulders on Moeraki beach are amazing! Do you know some reliable geological explanation?
