Walking through another Chinatown we came to this museum at Yaletown called the Roundhouse. Here is the first ever train to arrive at Vancouver. We then walked along the edge of False Creek and took a small ferry across to Granville which is well known for markets. We found good food there. Tomorrow is a walk to and round the "famous" Stanley Park.

Near the steam brewery is a steam run clock and here it is. This district is Gastown. There are major docks here and on other inlets. Coming in from the airport we saw large areas of logs which had arrived by floating them down the rivers.

Along the next part of the pier was an informative display of the history and geography of Canada. Then we came to the Steamworks Brewery and went in for a drink. Last night we had tried a bottle of this pale ale. Just to let you know that was the 28th different bottle of beer we have had this holiday !!!!

We walked along the Front from Coal Bay and Burrard Inlet and came to the Olympic Cauldron. This is where the flame was burning for the Winter Olympics.
