We couldn't leave Bangkok with a little more strangeness and uncertainty. Night bus and a boat we booked from Bangkok to Koh Phangan. Read the reviews - absolutely awful - but no other option and the price was cheap. As long as we arrived alive we would be happy. First we couldn't find the shop, then we were put into a taxi with another girl called Maria and had no idea where we were going. We arrived at a local bus station being the only non Thai people there. Waited a few hours and got onto a bus with other backpackers. The bus was actually quite nice. VIP bus with reclining seats. I wish I recorded Taylor's face when the Thai guy infront reclined his seat so far back his head was near his face hahaha! Absolutely hilarious. The man was sending photos of drugs on his phone and then started taking selfies of us. I asked him to sit up before Taylor punched his lights out hahaa! Once we got off the night bus we were left in another dodgy "bus station" and ended up being the only 3 left again. Taylor was sick - again - and the staff had no idea what was going on. Fortunately, we got picked up and put onto our boat!

Koh Phangan was really nice! Even better than my last visit. We made some friends at our hostel (Stacey, Rhys and Erik) and rented mopeds to explore the island. Apart from nearly crashing into a shop on his first rev, Taylor was a natural aha. I was the direction guy - I have no idea why?! I can remember one street at a time so it took a while but we made it to Paradise waterfall. After a trek up the forest we decided that it was far from paradise and headed to the beach. It was a beautiful day and I finally tried Tom Yum! <3 We met some other travellers Su and Molly on the way to watch sunset and we all headed down to the market after. We all ate fried crickets and Taylor genuinely enjoyed them hahaa

We went to Half Moon party which is basically a festival in the jungle. It was actually really good!! Probably better than Full Moon..

The rest of our time on the island was spent chilling at the beach, in the pool, watching films, eating and napping. Can't complain for £2 a night! We found out the curry is amazing! Curry everyday please!

No cheese and mushroom toasties still!!! Found one in family mart but it's not the same :(:(
