We have seen the Kingdom of Heaven! It was not as spectacular as it has been billed to be, I am sorry to say. It was good, but not outstanding. I wasn't sure what to expect, but what we saw did not exactly blow us away!

Even with Liam Neelson, Jemery Irons and Orlando Bloom(for Ing) and Eva Green(for me) in it, sweeping landscapes and great costumes, it was just good entertainment. But then again, anything on a bus journey of 22 hours does take on slightly different perspectives!

Travelling north from Cape Town to Windhoek through some stunning landscape does make up for the somewhat dubious entertainment! And listening to the previous night's antics of the four young American female exchange students did not nothing to take the edge off an already long bus trip.

It certainly was a cosmopolitan and colourful lot of bus companions - Cape Town certainly attracts them all! We had Rwandans, Congolese, Angolans, Namibians, South Africans and even some Portugese! Ah, the joys of travel....broadening one's stunted perspectives and narrow outdated mindsets....maybe along the way, I might discover my youth again! Ing will remain forever young and non-judgemental!

Bring on the wide open spaces of Namibia where the desert winds will whip away annoying, penetrating accents to yonder dunes!
