Hey guys!
Well I am now over the other side of the country...said goodbye to Vancouver this morning.
Yesterday I basically did nothing...slept till 11:30 :P And then did some organising. Met with my friend Kara and hung out in the hostel. And then for dinner we went to our pizza place down the road again and then Kara, Beth and I went to see Mamma Mia at the movies... Best movie ever!!!!!! It is now my fav movie....it was awesome :D I laughed the whole way through!
And then this morning I got up so early....and got to the airport. And then the mean lady told me my luggage was too heavy, and then went back on her decision when she realised that I could have 2 pieces of luggage..and I was like haha! Me win :p
The flight was good, only 4 hours so a piece of cake! Now I am staying with family friends so it is a nice change from a hostel!
Today, Thursday, I had a nice sleep in, then did some washing and more organising for Niagra Falls and Ottawa. After Lyn and Errol took me for a quick drive around Keswick which is the little town they live in around an hour out of Toronto.
Then on Friday I caught the bus into Toronto. First stop was the hostel to drop off my suitcase...then I walked back to the CN Tower, which was once the highest free standing structure in the world. You take an elevator all the way up and then there is a 360 degree lookout place. Gave some awesome views of Toronto (the town is so big, it just keeps going!) and also the lake!) There is also a section on the floor that is made out of glass! I twas extremely scary stepping out onto it as if seems as though there is nothing below you!!! haha but of course it is probably the strongest part of the building!
After then CN Tower I took a walk through the city centre. I passed the massive University of Toronto which looks like a great uni and on the other side of the road is Queen's Park, a large park in the middle of town.
My next stop was I must my favourite museum stop so far, The Bata Shoe Museum, as I am typical girl :P They have displays of hundreds of shoes, from hundreds of years ago to ones worn by famous people. They have an exhibition on at the moment of pointe and ballet shoes from years ago as well as ones worn by famous dancers which was really interesting for me! After that interesting stop it was back on the bus to Keswick.
