Well where to start!! Any need for the ship to be broken and having to stay in Auckland for 6 long days whilst she is fixed. Any need for there to be no cars to hire to get out and about to see the countryside, i think not.
The first day was spent on tour with some very miserable passengers but i had a fab time up the sky tower and then to kelly tarltons to see some penguins and some large sharks but not in the same tank. tour also took us over the harbour bridge which is alot smaller than the one in sydney but it had to be done.
Day 2 in the Auckland House was spent working during the day but then up to mount eden which was awesome and had amazing panoramic views of the whole city. a long walk but it was great to be out of the way of the ship and the disgruntled passengers that we have on board. i understand why they are but really its better for us to be safe here rather than in the middle of the ocean somewhere.
Day 3 a short adventure to wakheiki which is a boat ride of about 30 mins and has some of the best wineries for the region. well i thought i should go and sample some of them and got a little tipsy in doing this but it was a well good day over here. beautiful beaches, food and off course the wine too. Stonyridge, Cable Bay are well worth a visit and also the one next door to Stonyridge that also brews some lovely beers to that you can taste but am truly sorry cant remember the name. have had a fab day though and we have found out we still have 2 more days here really any need no lets go to hawaii now.
