Got the night ferry to Koh Tao very bizarre and everyone was crammed in like Sardines. Me Vic Dave and Sam brought some SamSung and had a few beverages to get us off to sleep. Ended up going to the front of the boat and lying underneath the stars for most of the journey to Koh Tao it was a lovely feeling, sailing underneath the stars. Got no sleep and arrived at resort quite groggy! Then realised the TAT had stuffed up and we were meant to arrive the day before which then meant I had to start my diving course the day I had arrived with no sleep. It was ok though just had to watch a video and just about managed to keep my eyes open. We were stying in the nicest place.Little bungalows right on the beach. It was very relaxed and friendly and 2 seconds away from the sea literally! Met some girls and guys from Birmingham who were really nice. Quiet night that night as the following day had to get up early to go diving. It was very exciting, the whole experience, found it hard to adjust to breathing under water at first and quite scared but adventually I adjusted and was fine. It is such a free feeling swimming around with all the fish in the water. I loved it. That night went for something to eat with my new Brummy friends. They were great and took me under their wing. It is soo nice to meet new people and just have a nice chat over a meal and some drinks. Went to lovely restaurant on the water just down from our accom. Eded up in Eazy bar (michael would have loved it here) where I met some Canadian guys and then headed back for a moderately early night. Next days diving was great again and I passed my test and everything was excellent. Had quite night ready for big day the following day when we went down 18metres and did 2 40 min dives. Loved it. Tha night went out with Brumm people to celebrate me as a new underwater diver. Had an interesting experience on the back of Decos bike when he got a puncture and then had to ride on a Tai ladies bike into town. Ended up in Eazy bar again with Star and then she left me with yet another guitar player where I stayed and sang into the early hours. Than went to get some more alcohol with 3 holland diving instructors and stayed out til 5!! Very drunk had wicked night and crept in so not to wake Vicky who was where I should have been hours ago! Next day started our travels to Koh Phangan with a little sore head!
