Sam the all star Trecker
Arrived at KP on a very nice Catermaran. Got to our accomodation and was a little scared as there were quite a few people complaining about the service and our room was like a sauna with a dribble for a shower (but hey ho I was used to it by now. The actual complex was lovely though. We had a pool which was a couple of foot off the beach with lovely views. We also had a little eating, watching films and playing pool area which reminded me of a youth club). We stayed in a little bungalo with a hammock which was quite swee.We were a bit far out from town but got a taxi in that night to get somthing to eat and check out the area. The town was wicked I could tell that the full moon was going to be an amazing experience! Had quite a quiet night but bumped into 'mr amazing guitar player from Krabi' who was great to see. Then me an Vic did the scariest thing and rented a moped which we couldnt drive (no REALLY couldnt drive) we were so stupid everyone was looking and starring at us. Vic was 10 times worse than me so I had no choice but to drive it back to our accom, up the steepest hills you have ever seen we didnt think we were going to make it to be honest. We ended up extremely lost and it took us about 2 hours to get home in the dark when it should have taken about 15min. Never laughed so much in all my life! The next day we took a ride to Thong Sala and Haad Rin again for some shopping. Starting to get the hang of the bike I think! Then we went back to complex and met a couple of girls from Kent (Feebee and Sarah) and 3 guys from Oz (Dean, Brad and Adam) really nice and that night we all went to the Amsterdam bar to watch the sunset on our scooters and then into Haad Rin for something to eat and to experience a bit of the warm up party ready for the full moon the following day! Had good night got home about 1:30 and the next day reserved our energy for the full moon. The full moon was absolutely excellent and went with Elma and all the peeps from our complex and met up with Eric and Erica from Krabi as well as Rasmus and Sarah from Koh Tao and the Guitar player of course. Danced loads and had a wicked time until 7am the following morning. I cant explain it 10000 people on a beach dancing like mad to all the different kinds of music spread along the beach and then we were still dancing hard as the sun rose in the morning and everyone was still covered in flourescent paint and looking very hot! However a cool down was only a step away in the sea!!! Best experience. Loved every minute.
