Arrived in Ao Nang adventually after nearly catching the wrong boat. Krabi was much quieter than the bustling hip and happening Phi Phi islands. Me and Vic were convinced to use this time for a bit of a detox and relax before our diving adventures in Koh Tao. Arrived at accom. We had a bungalow in a little forest and behind us was the highest cliff you have ever seen. Funny place to stay we thought but nice and different. The beach was a bit far away but found out from our very friendly resort people that thee were free rides to and from the town and beach! Excellent! Looked like a very friendly place. Me and Vic hit the town staright away and got ourselves a Tai Massage. Most bizarre experinence they properly get on top of you and knee and elbow you as well as pull all your toes and finges out of their joints! Couldnt reall say it was relaxing but it was certainly something and an experience worth encountering!! Before jumping in bed early we had a quick drink and met a few guys in our resort cafe area thing! Realised they were at Phi Phi too and had booked moreor less the same trip from the TAT in bangkok, therefore gonna be with them for quite a while! They tried to persuade us to come out but felt extremely rough so gave it a miss and me and Vic got an early night! Next day met up with the 2 guys again called Dave and Sam (from oz) and also met a German guy called Erma (looked like Arnie though---massive) and a couple called Eric and Erica (from Oz too). We all hit the beach together and hired a boat and went to Pong island (or something like that). It was nice found out that Elma was actually quite famous as he had done a German equivalent to Joe millionaire and also some acting and bits!! He was a nutter but absolutely hilarious!! Erica was lovely and it was nice to met a female backpacker at last! Burnt in random patches again but I am used to it now! I need to hire someone to put my cream on for me!! Headed back to the resort and got ready for the evening. That night me Vic, Erica, Eric and Elma went for something to eat. Had Baracuda for the first time it was lovely (get me being adventurous) then we got some Whiskey and headed back to our resort. Ended up very drunk in the middle of the forest more or less!!Met another guy with a guitar and proceeded to entertain everyone once again. Apparently singing is a rareity in Oz so they couldnt get enough and you know me always willing to sing. Stayed up til 5 quite drunk again (so much for detox). Had brill night. Woke up next day a little head sre had a nice brekkie and then we proceeded to move all the furniture round in the cafe, lay down some blankets and pillows on got them to put the 'Beach' on for us! Had a little snooze in the middle of the cafe with everyone. It was so friendly there you could just help ourself to drinks out of the fridge and everything!! aw lots of people that I had apparently sang to the following night! Also got the email of the guy who was playing the guitar! He was ace. Snoozed most of the day and then went for another massage but Milky one this time!! Much nicerhad some lovely food and then headed back to hit the sack ready for our 9 hour journey to Koh Tao tomorrow!!
