Hi everyone! Just got back from our 2 night boat trip! it was awesome!! On the first day (Friday) we went to Whitehaven Beach, it was the best beach we have ever seen! the sand was so white and fine it looked and felt like flour! We stayed there for a couple of hours and had some weird photo's taken of us (we will upload those soon) the sea was so clear you could see right out into the ocean! We found a cove and renamed it Sam and Justin's cove. We got back on the boat for a trip to luncheon bay where we slept the night.

In the morning (5.30!) we got up and had a snorkel which wasn't so good, Justin's mask kept filling up with water, 10 minutes later we got ready for a dive. Justin freaked out and didn't do it; I wasn't sure but did it anyway. We got all our gear on and practiced our skills on the beach then we walked slowly in and before I knew it we were 5 meters under water. It looked like a different world with fish whizzing around my head and coral below my feet.We got back in the boat and traveled down to the reef it took 2 hours to get there and as soon as we were there we were back in the water.The currents were so strong we didn't even have to swim and fish were right below us.The boat moved round so we were right in the middle of the reef and the current was much better.I decided to have another dive and this time we went down for 25 minutes and went down to 8 meters, I held a sea cucumber and got a picture of me holding it.The scariest thing was rolling off the boat backwards!Me and Justin went back in for a snorkel by ourselves the current was so strong at that time of night we could swim against it, the dingy gave us a tow to get us out but even with its engine it got caught in the current too and dragged us across the corals (the view was good but a bit too close). We got back on the boat and spent the night under the stars in the middle of the ocean, the nearest land was over 2 hours away so we could hardly see it! We woke up the next morning after a surprisingly good sleep and jumped back in for another snorkel which was really good fun and hugh fish had a thing for justin and would'nt leave him alone. Then we had the long journey home (6 hours!).It was a really good few days (the highlight so far) next were off to a cattle ranch and then to fraser island!Love you all!Sam and Justin xxx
