hey all, we haven't done a blog for a few days and as always we have done loads so I'll have to go back to the to when we were in brissy.

On sunday we went to moreton island which is an island just off the coast of brisbane. Again it was in a 4x4 but this time a guide drove. It is another sand island but this time there were huge sand dune which we were able to sandboard down. It was really cool and we managed to get up to some quite good speeds. The guide should really of warned us not to put on suncream on just before doing it though, as you can imagine we were completely covered in sand. on the last go the board slipped from below me (justin) and i had a mouth full of the sand, but I still wasn't complaining. We went to the lighthouse on moreton and saw some dolphins below us in the sea which was really cool, By then we were a bit hungry and still covered in sand so we stopped off in a fresh water lagoon to wash off and had some lunch. Because we are further south now we were able to get in the sea and not be afraid of jellys and crocs (at last!) so we went for a swim. The waves here are crazy and easily towered over sam it was quite funny watching her running from a wall of water but we both survived, just! We stopped off at another lagoon to cool off then our day on the island was over, all in all it was really good fun.

We spent a few more days in brisbane checking out the sights, the highlight for me was the xxxx (lager) factory although we didn't have time to sample the drinks because we had a bus to catch. We are now in surfers which is very different to anywhere we have been so far, very tourtisty. huge buildings which surpised us and loads of pubs etc. This is where most aussies come for there hoildays so plenty of people about. Apparently it is sunny 300 days of the year here although it has rained both days we have been here and it thundering as i'm writeing this! It was quite nice this moring though so we've been chilling out and relaxing most of the day. tomorrow we are going to wet 'n' wild and near by water park so hopefully the weather will be better by then!
