Zoo-Zoo
Slept in. :) Got a great long, hot shower and re-organized my bags a little so I can find everything. Took the Metro with Emma and Matthew back to the Burghese park. The park is shaped like a giant heart right in the middle of Rome. We wandered through and then visited the Zoo! I haven't been to a Zoo in a long time, so it was cute to rediscover all the fun in watching the animals. The Bioparco di Roma recently celebrated 100 years of establishment. I liked watching the little monkey babies climb and play, I saw my first Wallaby and Cassowary in the company of two Aussies, I got to see the hippo yawn right in front of me and the crocodile smile. Spring is here in all of the flowers and trees that are blooming and it was very pretty and relaxing to have such a casual day in the park.
Tomorrow Plans: Early day getting to and waiting in line for the Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel because it is free this Sunday.
Monday- Train to Assisi and find somewhere to stay a few nights. :)
