Stayed in bed until eleven today, which was lush! he he he ! Then went down to Cairns Yacht Club to register Shadi and I for a boat trip with the locals. We had to register in the Yacht "club" which was full of old pissed fisherman! Our captain was drinking away at the bar with his buddie, which was very reassuring! Jumped on the boat about 1 o'clock and got told apparently it was a race! I thought I was in for some serious sunbathing and relaxing but...

Trinity Beach! My first beach since I left! About bloody time! I did about ten cartwheels on the beach and made myself sick, cos I was so excited. I stripped down to me bikini straight away and dived straight in the sea! Looked at the scenery and thought "Yes! This is a holiday now!" So today, I took a bus to the Botanical Gardens. Was absolutely gorgeous, I have never seen flowers like it! The noises from all the birds and bugs was really tropical sounding, like in films! Walked around for ages, just completely amazed. Everything was so green! It was really quiet too, and not too many tourist, so it felt like I was taking a stroll through the jungle on my own! So today I chilled out on the Esplanade again. There was a band playing and all the families came down to watch, was really cute. Had a Bbq and a few beers.

So today moved hostels, as when I got home from work at 4am, I pulled my sheet back and there was more bloody bed bugs! I had to catch two to convince them to move me! So I checked into Corona backpackers today, which is much smaller and I met Shadi. She is from Swedan. We went to the Lagoon together on The Esplande and sunbathed. The Espalanade is gorgeous.
