So Alice Springs, is literally in the middle of the desert! Its a very small town just like Maldon. Haven't ventured out yet as only arrived yesterday.

went for diner last night with laura, just the two of us, which was lovely.
we had a proper catch up. She lives with nathan and his best mate. i slept in their spare room which was the best night sleep ever, as i felt safe.

already feeling a lot happier. gonna get laura to set me up with an oz phone and show me how to top up. and also a oz bank account if i can.

so my travelling options are...

1. stay here with laura and work in a restaurant and save some money until pete arrives. could spend some real time with laura, as we have always been in different places.

2. go camping with this group. would be an experience i would probably never get again. however i would feel the odd one. and it is annoying constantly trying to get along with people. when your with people you konw you can relax and chill. but when your getting to know people all the time trying to be on your nicest behaviour, its hard work!

3. i could spend a few weeks here, chilling, doing some tours outside of alice, then get the train to darwin. its summer at the top part of oz here, so the weather is lush, there is a beach. i could get a waitressing job in the evening, make some friends to get drunk with and chill during the day.

i'm thinking today, the best thing for me, is the third option. i need to get to beach and relax, get a tan and feel like i'm on holiday! also if i waitress ill meet people like me and get some drinking buddies, who will wanna hang around me, so i wont feel like a tag along. also good cos i dont wanna see too much of oz without pete.
