OK, so I didn't know that Denise took this picture. All is not as it seems. I'm not standing around waiting for the liquor store to open. Well, actually I am. However, not for the reason you think. I discovered this morning that my credit card was missing, and the last place I used it was here last night in the thunderstorm. Anyway, it all turned out happy and I got my card back. We then hit the road to Byron Bay, with a later then expected start. Beautiful day...

Success at last! Tomorrow we're off to Byron Bay for the night. Hoping to arrive around lunchtime so we can get some beach time it. Til then, Cheers.

I took about 500 pictures trying to get that elusive thunderbolt.

I've never seen rain like this in my life. In driving around I have noticed the extra large heavy duty storm sewers everywhere, and wondered about them. Now I know why they are so large. We had 3 inches of rain in 30 minutes. How's that for a hundred year storm. The parking lot was like a raging river.

We arrived Maryborough about 5:00. The sky was dark and forbidding and after the sun set the thunder storm started. It lasted over 3 hours.
